New Delhi, December 18: The ongoing investigation into the Parliament security breach by the Special Cell of Delhi Police has led them to six states, namely Karnataka, Haryana, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, according to official sources on Monday.
Teams from the Special Cell are actively conducting operations in these states as part of the probe. The focus includes scanning WhatsApp chats, digital footprints, and bank details of the six accused individuals—Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Neelam, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat, and Lalit Jha—who were arrested in connection with the incident.
The suspects are currently being interrogated separately at the Special Cell offices in the city. Lalit Jha, considered one of the masterminds behind the December 13 incident, has reportedly confessed to sharing an incriminating video related to the breach through WhatsApp. Jha, a teacher residing in West Bengal, not only shared the video but actively encouraged its further dissemination.
As part of the investigation, phone parts were recovered from the Nagaur area in Rajasthan, where Lalit Jha allegedly broke and burned them.
